Fuel Service
Diesel:
We have a fuel barge located on site supplying marine grade diesel (Not Biodiesel). It can hold up to 60,000 gallons and has a pumping rate of between 3 and 150 gallons per minute.
If you require large quantities of fuel advise the office at least 36 hours before hand. If your canal transit depends on refueling call us well in advance to be absolutely sure the barge will be ready when you need it. Fuel must first be paid for at the marina office. If you need to fill jerry cans take them to the fuel barge via dinghy (after paying for the fuel at the marina office). For safety and environmental reasons, fuel jugs cannot be filled by accessing the barge by land. Please request a fuel sample prior to taking on fuel.
Gasoline (Petrol) and Propane:
We can arrange to fill your gasoline jerry jugs, and propane bottles. Normal turnaround is 3 working days.
Fees:
Gasoline - $8.00 US per jerry jug fee, plus the price of the gasoline.
Propane - Small tank (10lb) $20 US; Medium (15lb) $25 US; Large (20lb) $30 US.
Old Oil Disposal:
We have a recycling tank for your waste oil and can dispose effectively of old filters and some other contaminents.
