Our Staff

Russ Goedjen is the Director General at Shelter Bay Marina.   Russ has lived in Panama for over 30 years. He was involved in the creation and operation of the Pedro Miguel Boat Club before joining Shelter Bay. 

Dave Jerling  is the Yard Manager

Gabriel Spence is our General Manager. He will be glad to help you with any questions in Spanish or English. 

Alisha Martineu head up our office staff. They all speak English and monitor VHF 74.  They can assist you with reservations, general inquiries or guide you to your slip. 

Angelo Hardy is our bus driver. He speaks English and knows his way around Colon and the surrounding areas.

Jorge Vega leads our facilities group here at the marina. His crew keeps the docks, buildings and grounds clean, well maintained and secure. 

Our haul out team is Victor,  Angel Tono, Melquiades Gutierrez, Agustin Alveo and Isaias Gobea. The team has been factory trained on the Travelift and Hostar hydraulic trailer equipment and look forward to working together with you to ensure a safe and efficient haul out. 

Victor Borguez leads our work yard crew. He has over 20 years of experience in and around boats.  He has expertise in prepping and bottom painting, blister repair jobs and fiberglass work.

Moises Jimenez mans the marina tool room and is the head soul of the boat care operation.

Ramon Rios is our carpenter.  He has many years experience working with wood, fiberglass, varnish and paints.
