Our Staff

John Halley is the Manager of Shelter Bat Marina. Born in England he has extensive experience as a cruiser as well as many years as Manager for Club Nautico Marina in Cartagena. Very well known by the cruising community John has been managing the marina since May of 2011.

Dave Jerling is the Yard Manager at Shelter Bay Marina. Born in South Africa, he has been a cruiser for many years and also has extensive experience in maintenance and repair of vessels. His last job was in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, where he was involved in substantial yacht repair projects.

Russ Goedjen, former manager at Shelter Bay , is a stock holder at Shelter Bay Marina and is now dedicated to the construction and development of other marinas. He was involved in all facets of the construction of Shelter Bay and managed the marina through its challenging first years. A retired US naval officer, Russ has lived in Panama for over 30 years.
